International Film Festival of San Juan to Screen Last American Colony 9/2/19 & 9/4/19
Our film will be screened at the International Film Festival of San Juan (Festival de Cine Internacional de San Juan).
In 1988, as a result of an initiative of Ricardo Alegría in the Legislature, the CineSanJuan Festival was established, a competitive film and video festival in the Caribbean that, due to the limited production of that time, would be held every two years. In 1989, a group of moviegoers created the San Juan Cinemafest, a non-competitive international festival. After the second edition of CineSanJuan and the third edition of San Juan Cinemafest, both festivals joined in 1992 under the name of San Juan Cinemafest. This was divided into two sections: the Caribbean Competition and the World Cinema Show. The San Juan Cinemafest remained until 2007, taking in its last years the name of Puerto Rico Cinemafest. In 2008, the activity took a new turn with the creation of the San Juan International Film Festival by the San Juan Cinemafest staff. The Caribbean Competition that had been eliminated was restored and the structure of the two sections was returned by also incorporating the World Cinema Show.

Warsaw International Film Festival to Screen Last American Colony 10/11/19 - 10/20/19
Established in 1985, the Warsaw Film Festival joined in 2009 the elite group of events recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (www.fiapf.org) as international film festivals - next to Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, San Sebastian, Karlovy Vary, Tokyo, Moscow, Mar del Plata, Montreal, Shanghai, Cairo, Goa, and Tallinn. The WFF differs from other festivals in its programme, just as Warsaw differs from other cities. Selecting the films, we always remember about our audience - native Varsovians, those working or studying in Warsaw, and those in town for a short while, for instance only for the Festival.
